Ok. It's time to be honest. I didn't think the Eagles would even make it to the super bowl. I assumed McNabb would have his annual horrible playoff game in the NFC Championship game, not the superbowl. For this I am deeply sorry.

The blame for this super bowl loss should not rest on McNabb. No, instead it should rest on the giant hulking shoulders of Andy Reid. I man who never saw a passing play he didn't like......and a running back he didnt think was expendable. Westbrook is a good running back in the Charlie Garner model.....but he is not a full-time back. How usefull would Duce Staley have been in this game?

I'll post more on this later, and add my two cents concerning what the Eagles need to do in the offseason to turn themselves into future superbowl champions.

InFREDible MY-A$$

Ok. So the Eagles finally won a NFC Championship game. After three years of choking (and it was choking) they finally managed to win one, and did so pretty convincingly I might add. There is one problem of course.

The New England Patriots absolutely destroyed the Steelers (a team that beat the Eagles). For now though lets put aside the questions regarding the upcoming rumble in Hurricane Country. Instead lets focus on the one the only Freddie Mitchell.

With headlines screaming "Infredible," t-shirts toting Fred-Ex, and nicknames like First-Down-Freddie, you would expect Freddie to be one of the premier wideouts in the NFL. Certainly with a nick-name like that Freddie must catch a ton of touchdowns right? In fact Freddie matched his career high this year. The problem is that Fred-Ex's career is 2, count em 2, TD's. Perhaps Freddie catches a lot of passes then? Nope. The most passes Freddie caught in a season was 35. Which puts him somewhere in the league of the Redskins Darnerien McCants. The main difference of course being that McCants no longer starts for the Redskins, while Freddie's role (which I believe consists entirely of Self-Promotion) grows.

If T.O. can't go in two weeks will Freddie, and Todd (I'm scared of getting hit by a Corner) Pinkston, be able to step and lead the Eagles to Victory over the impressive Patriots defense. Perhaps, but Freddie will need to catch more then his average of 1.5 receptions per game........

The Eagles Suck

IF the Eagles lose this Sunday I truly believe that they will never, ever, ever, go on to win a super-bowl. EVER. So horrible would be the stigma of losing 4 straight NFC Championship games.
